Cool pics, not sure about the sombrero though
.
Ha, I had to show some support for MAB!! How goes it Dave, still on the old 606?
When i’m at work. Have to keep myself busy somehow. God forbid I do the job I get paid to do, lol. I’m writing articles for 411mania.com at the mo. It’s not primarliy a boxing website but it’ll have it’s own boxing section soon. I have my own column on there which I post on a weekly basis so check it out if you get the chance.
I think the name “Haz” is a dirty word on 606 now, lol. I mentioned your blog in one of my articles last December and 2 hours later it got pulled and I was told by the beeb that any further mention of past members will not be tolerated! You must have really pissed those guys off, lol.
Have you got any of your stuff published yet? Really enjoyed your article on boxers retiring with unbeaten records. Top stuff!
Ha, yep my work output has tripled since I was put in the sin bin with Wossy and Russell Brand by Aunty Beeb!!
Checked your column out Dave, good stuff, I’ll keep checking in on it. I tried to leave a comment but it was being modded……………(shudders)……….!!
Nothing in print as yet but I have two articles on the table at the minute. I spent months on one so I’m hopeful someone will pick it up, if not they’ll find themselves on here or Eastside. Fingers crossed.
You’re spot on in your Kahn Barrera article as well, that should have been a no contest. We could see clouds of blood coming off his head when Amir jabbed him-bit of home cooking to let it go past four I reckon.
Cheers for the kind words Haz, much appreciated. Every comment gets modded on 411 so don’t worry, lol.
Keep sending out sample articles to the top boxing writers and they might recommend you to a boxing publication.
Based on what i’ve read from you so far you’re definitley ready to write for one.
Not sure if you heard the Sky commentary of Khan v Barrera. It was nauseating! Jim Watt, who I normally have a lot of time for, was the worst offender. He came out with such gems as “…ok the cut may have been a factor”. MAY have been a factor? It was the sole reason the fight was stopped for goodness sake.
Had to switch off as it was becoming painful to listen to.
