I'm not sure what's happened on that front Dave, I initially thought the delay in them fighting was down to Perez picking up a bad injury. It appears they're no longer based here which is a shame and spoils a good story but I don't know the actual ins and outs of it all.

Garcia needs to get active, he looked talented but at this rate the parade will pass him by.

Apart from the late Darren Sutherland, I think Gavin has found the transition from amateur to pro easier than the rest of the Olympians.

Btw, Luis Garcia was boxing at a show in Dublin last weekend and word around ringside was that there's been a bit of a falling out between McCrory and the Cubans. Have you heard anything about this?

If the winner fights Mosley I might make the trip!! I almost went for Margarito-Mosley-Margarito at that point was my absolute favourite fighter, not now of course in light of events. Every time I see Cotto's face i that fight I cringe.

Cheers Dave, I'd love to do another month but it's been well tricky fitting it all around work, planning it all etc, tremendous fun though and I got to play boxing journo!!

I'll defo be going to more small hall type events, the atmosphere makes it well worth it, far more enjoyable than the world title fights I've attended. I've become more of a fan of John Murray than I was and will defo look to be at his next one. George Groves impressed massively-hopefully we'll see Groves-Dickinson in the not too distant future. Cleverly and Booth went up in my estimation whereas Jeffries, Saunders, Chisora, Froch and Price went down.

I'm keen to see Frankie Gavin this weekend, he could be special.

I went to Vegas for Hatton-Pacquiao. Well worth it. Nothing like big fight week in Vegas. The buzz is unreal. Definitely worth the trip.

Any more plans to do a whole month of away day tours? Really enjoyed reading your reports for all the fights you've been to.

I hear that Dave. I've always imagined how cool it would have been to travel to Vegas for Hagler-Hearns-Leonard type megafights. I always said to my pops I'd have paid a fortune to go to battles like that yet now I have the chance with a fight like Cotto-Pacquiao I bottle it due to the cost!!

The closer it gets, the more chance I give Cotto. Still have Pacquiao as favourite but it's narrowing in my mind. Fights like that I love though as I'm a fan of both guys, I can't lose!!

Yep, last weekend of my October away day tour and I was gutted to hear Brook has pulled out. At least the card's saved but it'll not be the same. God knows what I'll do in November, I'll have itchy feet.

Plan is then to knock up an article detailing my travels for another crack at the mags but it's hard work having already blogged about much of it.

Words cannot explain how pumped I am for this fight. Should be an all-time classic!

Did you hear Brook vs Jennings was called off Haz? Major bummer. I was looking forward to that one.
