Paul Spadafora Interview, Paul Williams vs Sergio Martinez Round Table & Quick Update.
Ok I’m running a little late here, it’s been a tough week. As a peace offering, here is a link to a piece I completed for the website of Boxing News Magazine (a short interview with former lightweight titlist Paul Spadafora). Thanks again to Al McCauley for accommodating and Danny Flexen for posting it up there.
I’ve also been weighing up Saturday’s brilliant match-up between Paul “The Punisher” Williams and Sergio “Maravilla” Martinez with the fellas over at The Boxing Bulletin. Our musings should post tomorrow, be sure to give it a peek.
I’ll fumble my cards all over the table, I’m way behind schedule this week but here’s how I plan on pulling it back from the brink:
Friday: Paul Williams vs Sergio Martinez Preview & Prediction.
Saturday: A cursory glance at this weekend’s Prizefighter tournament, the most respectable outing yet for Barry Hearn’s concept. If I manage to catch a break, I may even be able to knock up a live blog. Why has Gary Sykes entered? Why didn’t I take the 10-1 on Gary Buckland? Why do birds suddenly appear? Answers to follow.
Sunday: The most tardy review of Pacquiao vs Margarito you’ll find anywhere on earth (thanks to my good friend Adam B for posting me a copy of the fight). Utterly brazen I know, so I’ll look to spin it some way or another to make it worth your while.
I’ll be back in the saddle next week with reviews aplenty and bumper previews to Juan Manuel Marquez vs Michael Katsidis, Carl Froch vs Arthur Abraham and Andre Ward vs Sakio Bika.
